Modern Interpretation of the Themes of Heroes and War in the Movie Troy

Abstract


The movie "Troy" is based on Homer's epic "Iliad" for artistic re-creation. The film is a modern interpretation and reconstruction of the classics with artistic techniques and a profound reflection on the war with unique artistic charm and modern consciousness. The film portrays Agamemnon who is addicted to war, the confused Achilles, the wise Hector and other characters to question the rationality of war and deeply reflect on the profound issues of war and humanity, war and peace. Such creation and reconstruction is also based on historical facts of artistic truth and artistic reconstruction, continuing the author of the original Homer 's reflection and questioning of the world famous war, bringing the audience into deep thinking and unique artistic tension.
