The Role of Sports Games in Basketball Teaching

Abstract

Sports games are called "active games" according to their content and form. That is to say, the sport game is a kind of puzzle activity that adds plots and certain rules for a certain sport in the process of sports teaching and judges the winner or loser according to the result of the activity. In the classroom teaching of sports, while the teacher is explaining the movements, the teacher uses the small games related to the content of the course as an auxiliary. In this way, not only will the students be more willing to cooperate with the teacher to participate in the classroom teaching, but it also will deepen the students' impression of the knowledge that the teacher has explained. In order to reflect the importance of relevant games in sports teaching, this paper takes basketball teaching as an example and conducts an investigation, analysis, and discussion on how sports games play a role in basketball teaching.
