Analysis of College Students’ Mathematical Contest in Modeling and Higher Mathematical Education Reform

Abstract


The process of educational reform is constantly advancing and deepening, and people are paying more attention to mathematics education. Mathematics education at different learning stages will focus on cultivating students’ mathematical thinking, helping students learn mathematics while applying it to real life. In advanced mathematics teaching, mathematical modeling competition is an effective way, which can not only help higher mathematics education accelerate the reform process,
but also promote the continuous improvement of its teaching quality. This article mainly analyzes the significance of college students’ mathematical modeling competition in the reform of higher mathematics education, and briefly introduces the problems that should be paid attention to in this process, hoping to be helpful to mathematics educators.
