Xiaorong Li

Abstract

It is an important task of public English teaching reform in higher vocational colleges to actively explore the ideological and political elements in English teaching and carry out necessary ideological and political education. At present, the integration of ideological and political elements into subject education is an important measure of teaching reform in most colleges and universities. Therefore, it is of great practical significance to explore the integration strategy of ideological and political elements in higher vocational public English teaching. Taking “new practical English” as an example, this paper focuses on the two aspects of “the importance of adding ideological and political elements in higher vocational public English teaching” and “the integration strategy of ideological and political elements in higher vocational public English teaching”. It is hoped that through the “English + ideological and political” mode, all-round education can be implemented for students to improve their ideological realm, and strengthen students’ understanding and application of English knowledge.
