A Review of the Impact of Social Capital on the Entrepreneurial Intention of College Students in the Context of the Use of Social Media

Abstract


The role of social media and social capital has been widely concerned in college students’entrepreneurial intention. The popularity of social media enables college students to make social connections and influences their career options and entrepreneurial intention.As an important social resource,social capital has a significant impact on college students’entrepreneurial behavior,including social network,relationship quality,social support and psychological capital and other factors.Its richness can alleviate psychological pressure,improve stress tolerance and adaptability,and have a positive effect on entrepreneurial intention. This paper will explore the influencing mechanisms of the both on the mental health and entrepreneurial intention of college students,including analyzing the impact of social media on mental health,the role of social capital in it,and proposing future research directions and some suggestions to provide reference for correlational researchers.
