Abstract

Taking the Carnot cycle as an example, this paper discusses the ideological and political education of physical chemistry in chemical and chemical engineering. Carnot cycle proposed by Carnot has solved the problem of heat engine efficiency, allowing the heat engine efficiency to be greatly improved, and has brought about the industrial revolution which made a huge change in the way of travel, production and lifestyle of human beings. Meanwhile, due to the improvement of heat engine efficiency, Japan and Western powers began their invasion to China. It is necessary to cultivate science and engineering students of their ambitions of serving the country through industry, strengthening the country through industry, and strengthening the country through science and technology; cultivate their correct values, take promoting social progress as their own responsibility, and make contributions to the progress of mankind. At the same time, it is necessary to cultivate their correct patriotism. Only by becoming a powerful country in industry and science and technology can the country become prosperous and not be invaded by foreign enemies.
