This study investigates the mechanism through which Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy (CDMSE) influences Career Development Education Outcomes (CDEO) among college students and examines the mediating role of Psychological Capital (PsyCap). The findings reveal that: (1) CDMSE is positively correlated with CDEO; (2) PsyCap is positively associated with both CDMSE and CDEO; and (3) PsyCap partially mediates the effect of CDMSE on CDEO. These results indicate that enhancing students’ CDMSE can directly improve the effectiveness of career development education and indirectly strengthen educational outcomes by fostering their psychological capital.

Cooperative learning highlights students’ co-construction of knowledge through interaction, with group cohesion recognised as a
critical indicator of its effectiveness. This paper reviews the theoretical foundations of cohesion and introduces sociometric methods for its
measurement, focusing on indices of interpersonal status, cohesiveness, and dispersion. Pedagogically, cohesion measurement informs group
formation, task allocation, and instructional interventions, supporting sustained cooperation and effective language use. The study highlights
cohesion as both an analytical and pedagogical tool, contributing to the improvement of learners’ language proficiency, teamwork skills, and
confidence in communication.

This qualitative interview study explores the experiences of university teachers pursuing overseas degrees while working, examining their motivations, challenges, coping strategies, life during study abroad, and the impact on personal and professional development. Findings show that motivations encompass career development (e.g., qualification enhancement) and personal interests (e.g., cultural experience).
Key challenges included work-study conflicts, family separation, and time constraints, mitigated by support from supervisors, family, and
peers. The experience improved professional, research, and cross-cultural adaptability, benefiting both personal growth and family life. The
study suggests institutions offer more flexible support for teachers’ development, and teachers improve time planning and seek family understanding. It highlights the value of parallel work and study, recommending future quantitative research for further validation.

This study proposes a dynamic intervention model for cultivating metonymic competence in translation education, structured
around the “Recognition-Transformation-Evaluation” framework. Through an empirical investigation involving 150 English majors, the research examines how systematic training in metonymic identification, transformation, and evaluation influences translation performance. The
findings demonstrate that the model significantly enhances students’ metonymic skills and translation quality, with substantial effect sizes.
The study contributes a pedagogical model that integrates cognitive linguistics theories with translation practice, highlighting its practical
value in fostering holistic translation competence.

This study aims to explore the impact of college students’ Future Time Perspective (FTP) on their Employability and to examine the mediating role of Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy (CDMSE). Grounded in Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT) and Time Perspective Theory, a questionnaire survey was conducted among 420 college students in eastern China. The results reveal that: (1) FTP significantly and positively predicts employability; (2) FTP has a significant positive effect on CDMSE; (3) CDMSE significantly enhances students’ employability; and (4) CDMSE plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between FTP and employability. This study enriches the theoretical application of temporal perspective constructs in the field of career development and provides practical insights for career education in higher education institutions.

This study explores how Han folk music in Shanghe County, Jinan, Shandong Province, constructs and sustains cultural identity
through an ethnographic approach. Data were collected via participant observation, in-depth interviews (23 participants), focus group discussions, and audio-visual documentation during July–September 2025. Key findings reveal that Shanghe’s Han folk music operates as a dynamic medium: it embeds in ritual cycles (e.g., Spring Festival, Qingming) to preserve collective memory, articulates distinct sonic geographies
(temple courtyards, homes, cemeteries) that structure social belonging, and reflects gendered and generational roles in cultural transmission.
While local institutions promote Han music as “intangible cultural heritage,” this process creates tensions between ritual authenticity and
staged performance. The study contributes to ethnomusicology by addressing gaps in region-specific research on Han music, highlighting its
role in negotiating local and national cultural identities amid modernization.
