"Dr. Rohini Kumar is trained as hydrologist working at Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research - UFZ, Germany. He obtained his doctoral degree from Jena University in Germany, working on development and application of mesoscale Hydrologic model (mHM). His research imainly focus on developing and establishing a robust multiscale parametrization scheme for reliable applications of a spatially distributed land surface hydrologic models (mHM) in meso-to-macro-scale river basins. Further his interest also encompasses over developing methods for providing reliable predictions of hydroclimatic extremes including floods, droughts and heatwaves, prediction in ungauged basins (PUB), assessing and utilizing remote sensing data-sets, uncertainty and risk assessment for integrated water resources management, and artificial intelligence techniques for rainfall-runoff modelling."
