A Study on the Path of College English Ideological and Political Education
Abstract
With the deepening of globalization and the continuous expansion of China’s opening up to the outside world, the importance of
English as an international lingua franca is becoming increasingly prominent. College English teaching is an important component of higher
education, responsible for cultivating students’ comprehensive English proficiency and enhancing their international competitiveness. Traditional college English teaching often only focuses on imparting language knowledge and neglects the cultivation of ideological and political
qualities. Therefore, it is imperative to carry out college English teaching reform guided by curriculum ideology and politics. This article
conducts in-depth research on this topic, providing support for the high-quality development of college English courses.
