The Introduction of the Special Issue

The special issue is concerned with sustainable asphalt concrete pavement, manuscript related to sustainable asphalt binder, additives (liquid or solid form), mixing techniques, self-healing asphalt binder and self healing asphalt concrete, testing for physical and rheological properties of sustainable asphalt concrete will be included in this special issue.

All papers should be submitted via the Modern Transportation submission system: http://ojs.usp-pl.com/index.php/MT/index

Submitted articles should not be published or under review elsewhere. All submissions will be subject to the journal’s standard peer review process. Criteria for acceptance include originality, contribution, scientific merit and relevance to the field of interest of the Special Issue.

Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Baghdad . Published four books and 224 research papers in national and international scientific journals. Member of editorial board of nine international scientific journals, and reviewer of another five journals. Supervised 41 MSc Thesis and participated in 49 national and international scientific conferences.
Areas of specialization and interest: (Maintenance Management system, Quality assurance, Airport Engineering, Roller compacted concrete; modified asphalt concrete; Asphalt stabilized embankment models; Road user characteristics, Transportation planning).
