Exploration and Practice of ESP + EGP Integrated Teaching Model in Higher Vocational Education

Abstract


As an important general course in higher vocational colleges, English plays an important role in the future employment and development of students. However, it is often inappropriate to set the curriculum, especially the relationship between industrial English and basic English. This subject research is based on an in-depth analysis of the current situation of English teaching in higher vocational colleges, taking the foreign language application course of Jiuquan Vocational and Technical College as a practical carrier, following the principles of practicality and adequateness, and applying the concept of work-study to closely surrounding enterprise groups and occupation Group, post group, technical group actual needs, optimize teaching content, deepen the reform of teaching mode, explore and restructure the "basic English+ industry English" teaching system, achieve a deep integration of basic English and industry English, in order to optimize higher vocational education The English course setting and the improvement of students' foreign language application ability provide a reference example.
