Re-thinking on improving students’ ideological and moral quality through volunteer service

Abstract

Students’ ideological and moral education is one of the important tasks in primary and secondary education. Cultivating good
ideological and moral character is of great signifi cance in the process of students’ all-round development and growth. To carry out voluntary
service activities can promote the all-round development of students, improve their comprehensive quality, voluntary service activities have
been as an important activity to enhance students’ ideological and moral character. Therefore, how to rely on volunteer service to improve
students’ ideological and moral character is a problem that teachers have thought about many times and need to solve urgently in the current
moral education of primary and secondary schools. This paper will discuss the practical research on improving students’ ideological and
moral character by relying on volunteer service from two aspects of theory and practice. By analyzing the feedback of middle and primary
school students’ volunteer service nowadays, it will put forward optimization suggestions for the follow-up development of volunteer
service, so as to promote p rimary and secondary school students to play their own value in volunteer service. To improve the comprehensive
quality of individuals, carry forward the spirit of selfl ess dedication, and cultivate the excellent humanistic quality and practical ability of
primary and secondary school students.
