Research on the Application of edge Computing in new smart cities
Abstract
In recent years, with the rapid development of the Internet of Things and 5G network, edge computing has gradually become
a “fl ash point” of new technology research and development, which has received attention from all walks of life. At the same time, it is
accelerating the change of people’s lives. Edge computing, with its signifi cant advantages of reducing the delay of data transmission and
improving the data processing speed, is gradually penetrating into the construction of new smart cities and providing a variety of possibilities
and directions for the construction of new smart cities. This paper takes this as the starting point, and on the basis of briefl y explaining edge
computing and its application advantages in new smart cities, focuses on the specifi c application of edge computing in new smart cities to
launch an in-depth exploration, in order to provide some useful references and enlightenment for promoting the construction of smart cities.
