An Embedded Cognitive Model Study on Anxiety in Continuous Interpretation

Xin Kou

Abstract

This article conducts an embedded cognitive study on consecutive interpretation anxiety based on anxiety theory and
neuropsycholinguistics, and proposes an embedded cognitive model for consecutive interpretation anxiety. The design concept and
components of this model (perceptual anxiety, thinking coding anxiety, thinking decoding anxiety, decision anxiety, conversion anxiety, and
memory anxiety) are diff erent from previous studies on interpreting cognitive processes, and it is a bold interdisciplinary attempt.
