Research on the improvement of core literacy of counselors in private universities -- Based on the practical exploration of the “four horizontal, eight vertical and two axes” model of the School of Literature and Education of Xi ‘an Innovation College, Yan ‘an University

Abstract


As the product of higher education popularization and education reform and innovation in China, private colleges and
universities bear the mission of personnel training. Private colleges and universities counselors are part of the teachers’ team, shoulder the
responsibility of implementing “moral cultivation”, and are also the backbone of ideological and political education for college students.
Entering the new era, private colleges and universities’ counselors’ team also put forward new requirements. And the important starting
point to strengthen the construction of the team is to continuously improve the core quality. This study fi rst reveals the connotation of the
core literacy of private college counselors, then takes the “four horizontal, eight vertical and two axes” model of the School of Literature and
Education of Xi ‘an Innovation College of Yan ‘an University as an example, and fi nally puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to
improve the core literacy of private college counselors, in order to promote the professional and professional development of private college
counselors.
