The signifi cance of promoting conservation tillage to the construction of ecological civilization

Abstract


2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. It is a key year for realizing the goals
and tasks of the 14th Five-Year Plan. At present, China’s agriculture has been an unprecedented development, 2023 consecutive years
of stability in more than 1.3 trillion catties, grain production to achieve “20 consecutive abundance”. However, due to the infl uence of
China’s farming mode and transitional farming and other reasons, it has caused great damage to the ecological environment, and the serious
deterioration of the farming environment. Soil erosion, drought, sandstorm, soil compaction, and fertility decline have become important
factors restricting the current agricultural development. Since China put forward the construction of ecological civilization, conservation
farming mode has become an important measure for the construction of agricultural ecological civilization and the development of
agricultural modernization. This paper describes the background and significance of carrying out conservation tillage and ecological
civilization construction, as well as countermeasures for the future promotion of conservation tillage on dry land farmland in our country, so
that the majority of agricultural workers can better understand and develop conservation tillage, strengthen the construction of agricultural
ecological civilization, and protect the ecological environment.
