Research on the Integration of STEAM Education Concept into English Classroom Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges

Abstract


STEAM education concept, as an interdisciplinary and practice-oriented innovative education concept, has become a hot
topic in the fi eld of education research. The integration of STEAM education concept in the process of English classroom teaching in higher
vocational colleges can not only fully stimulate students’ interest in English learning, but also help to improve their comprehensive quality,
and also play a positive role in the cultivation and development of students’ innovative ability and teamwork ability. Based on this, this
paper briefl y expounds the necessity of integrating STEAM education concept into English classroom teaching in higher vocational colleges,
and on the basis of this, it conducts in-depth research and discussion on eff ective strategies for integration, in order to provide new ideas and
methods for the innovation of English teaching concept and the optimization of teaching mode in higher vocational colleges. A nd strive to
cultivate more high-quality and technical talents with international vision and interdisciplinary accomplishment.
