Abstract
The background of La Traviata is a literary and artistic work from the French period in the 1840s. It is a love story full of
strong tragic color under the pen of Alexandre Dumas. It mainly tells the story of a French party girl named Marguerite and a man named
Armand who know each other and love each other until they are separated. Before reading “La Traviata”, the author has heard about other
works of art adapted from this novel. After reading, the author has a deeper understanding of the story background and plot of this work, and
has many feelings and touches.
