Research on the development and application of digital currency at home and abroad
Abstract
In recent years, the development momentum of digital currency has been strong, and many organizations, including
governments and private sectors, have studied digital currency. In the fi eld of digital currency technology research, China started early,
the People’s Bank of China in 2014 set up a special research group on the possibility of legal digital currency, since then the theoretical
research, system design, regulations landing, application promotion of the digital yuan is rapidly popular, in 2019 began to pilot promotion.
With the decrease in the use of cash and the rise of foreign cryptocurrencies, digital RMB has also been quickly put into application. In this
context, this paper reviews the main development and application of digital currency at home and abroad, and reviews the main policies, and
provides suggestions for the future development of digital currency in China.
