Research on the status quo and countermeasures of the construction of elderly care workers in Shenzhen

Abstract


Elderly care workers are an important component of the healthy elderly care talent team, which plays an important role in
the implementation of the strategy of actively responding to the aging population and improving the sense of gain, happiness and security
of the elderly and their families. At present, the double shortage of “quality” and “quantity” of the talent team of old-age nursing staff in
our country hinders the construction of the high level old-age service system. This study takes Shenzhen as an example, on the basis of
emphasizing the practical signifi cance of strengthening the construction of the talent team of elderly care workers in the city, through visiting
the typical elderly care institutions in the city, to describe the current situation of the elderly care workers in Shenzhen. This study points
out that the current nursing personnel team in Shenzhen has the characteristics of small scale, high workload, slow professional promotion
and diffi cult staff supply. This study believes that the quantity and quality of the talent team of elderly care workers in Shenzhen should
be improved through three aspects: expanding the talent source of elderly care workers through multiple channels, carrying out multilevel training of elderly care workers, and comprehensively improving the working environment and employment attraction of elderly care
workers.
