Parenting confl ict between grandparents and parents in 0-6 year old children’s family education

Abstract


With the intensifi cation of aging trend and the change of family structure, it is more and more common for grandparents
to participate in 0-6 years old children’s family education. However, due to the diff erences between grandparents and parents in education
concepts, methods and communication attitudes, the parenting confl icts between the two generations of parents are triggered. Through indepth research on the parenting confl icts between parents and grandparents in the family education of 0-6 year old children, this study
analyzes the causes of the confl icts from three perspectives: cultural background, social changes and family structure changes. On this basis,
the author puts forward some suggestions to alleviate the confl ict: to strengthen intergenerational communication and establish consensus;
Unify the concept of education to form a joint force; Clear role orientation, division of labor and cooperation; Seek professional advice,
improve ability; Strengthen social support and off er help.
