Analysis of media operation and management of Zhihu, the social Q & A community

Abstract


In just a few years, Zhihu became a leading unicorn enterprise in China with its unique Q&A mode, and was officially listed on March 26, 2021. There are still many problems in Zhihu under the success of the mass market. The disobedience brought by de-elitism, pending commercial realization and fierce platform media competition are all huge obstacles on the way forward of Zhihu. Based on this, this paper uses SWOT analysis method to analyze media operation and management of Zhihu and tries to propose some constructive suggestions for the long-term development of Zhihu combined with medium management theory.
