"One Belt One Road" International Cooperation and Global Governance

Huimin Duan

Abstract

With the strong rise of emerging economies, the dominant force of global governance has gradually changed. The U.S.-led global governance system is facing great challenges, with the U.S. as a major power turning to passive governance and the prevalence of counter-globalization and trade protectionism. Against this backdrop, China has launched the "Belt and Road" initiative, creating the concept of "community of human destiny" and the governance model of "discuss, build and share". In the future, China should strengthen its cooperation with the United Nations and other international organizations, and expand the "Belt and Road" international cooperation in new areas, so as to provide Chinese solutions for global governance.
