The Enlightenment of life education theory on normal education in Colleges and Universities

Abstract


Mr. Tao Xingzhi’s life education theory is the earliest modern education theory with distinctive characteristics of the times
in the history of Chinese modern education thought. The core of his educational thought is the theory of life education. The main points
are “teaching, doing and integration”, “life is education”, “society is school”. In recent years, normal education has increasingly become
the focus of students’ choice. However, normal education in Colleges and universities has not reached perfection, and there are still many
problems. The theory of life education profoundly refl ects the internal law of education, reveals Mr. Tao Xingzhi’s educational philosophy,
and has important enlightenment signifi cance for the improvement of normal education.
