This paper aims to present a methodological approach to align the strategic plans among Institutions in the area of Higher Education. It adopts an eight-phase research framework. It is a qualitative study which adopts a deductive and exploratory research strategy through the analysis of some institution's strategic plans and other relevant documents to propose a methodological approach for the alignment. Its contribution shall enable HEIs to improve synergy which is essential for achieving efficiency, efficacy and long-term sustainability in the light of the recent challenges facing their environment, considering that the strategy execution and its implementation has been considered much more difficult and complicated to overcome. Particular it shall contribute to alignment among other HEIs which have been subject to mergers and acquisitions processes, in the recent years.

Fire is one of the most serious hazards for forests on earth. Despite each kind of technological development and equipment, fire activity has an increasing trend because of especially climate change and socio-economic reasons. Although fire extinguishing organizations, today, try to suppress this increasing risk with a maximum effort, the big fires in some places cause the enormous areas to get burned.  The fires as big as natural disasters cannot be extinguished most of the time in spite of any efforts or methods when the extreme fire weather conditions come together with inflammable matters and ignition sources.

In this study, the number and area of forest fires in Turkey were investigated through statistical quality control method. Despite the decreasing trend of forest fires in terms of area size, the possibility of large fires always exists in the whole Mediterranean Region due to the socio-economic conditions such as increasing human population, migration and any changes that could affect fire activity in climate conditions. As a result of the study, it is seen that there is an overall increase in the number of fires while the burned area decreases. Out-of-control behaviors in control graphs are not in a continuous trend but sometimes exceed the control limits. This condition is seen to be positive as a trend but also points to the possibility of unexpected annual burned area and the number of fires.

I present here observational and experimental impacts and control activities of wild pigs in the Serra da Mantiqueira, an irreplaceable area for biodiversity conservation in the world, inserted in Atlantic Forest of Brazil. In the Serra da Mantiqueira wild pigs damage streams, vegetation, gardens and crops. Wild pigs also consume seeds and cause the death of endangered trees. Together with the local community my team and I worked out a pilot plan for wild pig control in two protected areas of the Serra da Mantiqueira. Meetings and training activities were held with the volunteer hunters that carried out control of the wild pigs. The pilot plan control reduced the incidence of wild pigs in one of the protected areas. Finally, I suggest a national program to control wild pigs in protected areas to fill in the gaps identified during this present work.

In last 70 years TRIZ(Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) has been developed prosperously,  including the establishment of associations, training centers, consulting companies, and software suppliers; research projects as well as related outcomes from various domains did enrich the accumulation of the literature. Actually, a plethora of studies could be discovered from different databases extensively tackling related issues of TRIZ from theoretical perspectives, methodological concerns and the combination of TRIZ and other tools. Practically speaking, manufacturing as well as service industries were the major playground for utilizing TRIZ to improve operational performance for achieving excellence. It is, therefore, about the right time to understand the progress of applying TRIZ methodology from various fields in the world and to set a research agenda for future research and application. The authors conducted a systematic review of previous studies selected from several databases. Based on statistical analysis and the results of text/data mining, the current study concluded that the most adopted tools in TRIZ are contradiction and patent analysis; furthermore, quality function deployment (QFD) and green design are the most popular methods used in combination with TRIZ.
