A Study of Cultural Artistic Conception Related Texts under the Consideration of Relevance Theory
Abstract
Relevance theory is a cognitive pragmatics theory. Its application provides explicit reasoning activities for interpreting the source language (intralingualism or interlingualism) under the framework of relevance theory. From the perspective of communication, cultural images are the crystallization of civilization wisdom, through which people transmit the information covered. This paper discusses the relationship between relevance theory and translation, and tries to find ways to improve the translation of cultural artistic conception texts under the consideration of relevance theory.
