On the Practice Path of Ideological and Political Teaching Reform in English Reading Course
Abstract
Ideological and political education is an important way to achieve high-quality development of higher education, and college English reading teaching is an important way to cultivate college students’ comprehensive application ability of professional English, and it is also an important carrier of college students’ ideological and political education. The ideological and political teaching reform of college English reading curriculum should be based on teaching objectives, curriculum content, teaching methods, teaching evaluation and other aspects, fully excavate the theme of each unit, pay attention to the ideological and political elements in the teaching materials, realize the unity of explicit education and implicit education, realize the unity of knowledge imparting and value guidance, and improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education in English reading curriculum.
