Methods of Inheriting National Music Culture in Music Teaching in Colleges and Universities

Abstract


Chinese national music contains five thousand years of Chinese culture. The development and inheritance of national music culture is an important part of cultural inheritance and an important factor related to the prosperity of the nation. It benefi ts from a group of talented artists and wealthy people. Responsible music teachers are also the responsibilities and obligations we must shoulder. As an important position for cultivating musical talents and inheriting music culture, colleges and universities have a direct impact on the development of national music whether their teaching models, teaching methods, and teaching content are appropriate. China’s original national music has struggled under the invasion of Western culture and has few places to gain a foothold. Therefore, this article will start from the problems existing in music teaching in colleges and universities, initially explore the necessity of inheriting ethnic music culture, and propose specifi c strategies to strengthen the connection and integration of music teaching in colleges and universities and ethnic music to carry forward ethnic music.
