High School Education Cultivates Social Responsibility

Jing Qiao

Abstract

The social responsibility strategy of high school education focuses on two core elements: moral values and civic consciousness. Educators emphasize moral education, the importance of values, and role models for guiding moral development. Civic consciousness includes balancing the rights and obligations of citizens, while cultivating an awareness of active participation in social aff airs. This strategy is further integrated into curriculum design, incorporating social responsibility into the curriculum and providing professional courses. Practical activities include social practice, volunteer service, and participation in projects both on and off campus. Interdisciplinary teaching combines multiple disciplines to deepen students' understanding, and comprehensive courses provide a holistic approach to cultivating a sense of social responsibility.
