Police interpreters, integral to law and public safety, adhere to ethical principles. This study explores these principles, emphasizing power dynamics and informed understanding through case studies. Its aim is to address ethical challenges faced by police interpreters, enhancing their acumen and integrity. The research contributes by establishing tailored ethical standards, providing actionable conduct guidelines based on case studies. This guidance helps interpreters navigate ethical complexities, preserving professional integrity and public perception. Additionally, the study’s insights support institutions in formulating comprehensive ethical codes and training protocols for the police interpreting profession.
