Exploration of Innovative Teaching Models for College English in an International Context

Abstract


This article discusses the challenges faced by traditional university-level English teaching models, including the increasing demand for international education, the limitations of traditional approaches, and the diversity of student needs. With the rapid development of globalization, students need to use English as a tool for global communication more than ever, and traditional models may not fully meet this demand. The article also introduces the concepts of innovative teaching models, such as integrating cross-cultural educational elements, promoting active engagement and student participation, and utilizing multimedia and technology. It summarizes the advantages of innovative teaching models, including enhancing students’ language skills, fostering a global perspective and cross-cultural understanding, and boosting students’ confidence and self-directed learning.
