A Study on College English Education and Intercultural Competence Training Strategies
Abstract
With the rapid development of globalization, cross-cultural competence has become an important part of modern English teaching. In the process of college English teaching, new requirements have been put forward for cross-cultural competence. Judging from the current situation of college English teaching, Chinese college English teachers usually only pay attention to the cultivation of English knowledge and language skills in their daily teaching activities, but ignore the importance of intercultural competence training. As there are some differences between different regions in China, college English teachers should pay attention to these differences in the course of teaching, take cross-cultural competence as the key training object, and improve students’ cross-cultural competence through targeted guidance. This paper studies the strategies of college English education and intercultural competence training in order to provide reference for improving the effectiveness of college English teaching.
