The Research on the Current Situation and Development Trend of Minority Language Use in China--Visualization Analysis Based on CiteSpace

Abstract


The use and inheritance of Minority language have become an important part of national language and culture. Based on the bibliometric method and with the help of CiteSpace visualization tool, the article carries out a visual analysis of the literature related to the use of minority languages in the core journal from 1992 to 2024. It is found that the number of researches in the field of minority language use and inheritance in China shows a curvilinear rising trend, involving as many as 31 disciplines, and the level of research mainly focuses on the field of applied research; more research scholars and research institutions have also formed corresponding research power; the hot topics of research mainly involve minorities, bilingual education, ethnic languages, ethnic areas, endangered languages, language policy, use and inheritance, etc. The research is based on the literature measurement method, with the help of CiteSpace visualization tool. The hot topics of research mainly involve ethnic minorities, bilingual education, ethnic languages, ethnic regions, endangered languages, language policy, use and inheritance. The research trend has gone through three stages, and in the past two years, six emerging research themes have emerged as the new trends for the next research, but it is still necessary to strengthen the cooperation and communication between researchers and research institutions.
