Research on the Impact of Modern Information Technology on English Education and Teaching

Abstract

This study delves into the impact of modern information technology on English education and teaching. Analyzed the widespread application of information technology in English classrooms, including multimedia teaching, online teaching, and mobile learning, as well as the increasing abundance of information technology teaching resources. It pointed out the problems of information technology in English education and teaching, such as insufficient teacher-student interaction, low student interest in learning, uneven resources, and the authenticity of knowledge acquisition. In response to these issues, this study proposes coping strategies, including improving teachers’ information technology teaching ability, strengthening resource construction and utilization, innovating teaching models and methods, and strengthening integration with traditional teaching. Through these strategies, the aim is to fully leverage the advantages of information technology in English education and teaching, improve teaching effectiveness and student learning experience. This study has certain theoretical value and practical significance for promoting the reform of English education and teaching, and promoting the development of educational informatization.
