The Strategy of Integrating Core Literacy and College English Listening and Speaking Teaching

Abstract


This paper discusses the integration strategy of core literacy and English listening and speaking teaching in universities. By analyzing the connotation of core literacy and its meeting points with English subject, it is clear that English listening and speaking teaching in colleges and universities should pay attention to the cultivation of critical thinking, innovation ability and cross-cultural communication ability while improving their language ability. The paper puts forward the innovative teaching practice through task-based teaching method, project-based learning, flipped classroom and other methods, and suggests to integrate diversified resources and optimize the evaluation system, so as to comprehensively promote the comprehensive development of students. Research shows that integrating core literacy into teaching can not only improve students’ English profi ciency, but also enhance their competitiveness in a global context.
