The Role and Teaching of Breathing in Chinese Classical Dance Performance

Abstract


Mastering and applying various breathing techniques effectively is essential for dancers to achieve high levels of artistic expression. This paper explores the role and teaching of breathing in Chinese classical dance performance. It begins by summarizing the Different types of breathing in Chinese classical dance, followed by an analysis of the roles that breathing plays in the performance, and concludes with a discussion of teaching strategies for breathing in this dance form. The study aims to clarify the principles behind the role of breathing in classical dance and off er practical recommendations for the teaching of breathing techniques in Chinese classical dance.
