Analysis on the Influence of America’s Indo-Pacific Strategy on China-ASEAN Relations

Abstract


The Indo-Pacific Strategy is a geopolitical framework for a western country to integrate the Indian Ocean and Pacific regions and layout strategy to balance China’s influence. Since China joined the WTO in 2001, it has achieved economic growth by leaps and bounds, and made remarkable achievements in the military, scientific and technological fields. With the increasingly powerful comprehensive national strength, China’s global influence is also expanding, which makes Trump’s political mainstream the Anxiety of Displacement, and begin to contain China. Besides, the series of measures taken by them in the Indo-Pacific have also had a certain impact on the relations between China and ASEAN.
