Helpful Factors of Group Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Overweight and Obesity

Abstract


The prevalence of overweight and obesity has reached epidemic proportions globally, with significant implications for individual health and public health resources. Group Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (GCBT) has emerged as a promising approach to address the psychological and behavioral aspects of weight management. GCBT off er a supportive environment that can enhance the effi cacy of interventions. This paper explores the helpful factors of GCBT in the context of overweight and obesity, examining how group dynamics, shared experiences, and social support contribute to successful weight loss and maintenance.
