The Contemporary Value and Development of Marx’s Concept of Mass History

Abstract


Socialist construction with Chinese characteristics has formed and developed the Marxist concept of mass history with Chinese characteristics on the basis of Marx’s materialistic concept of history. The theory has undergone long-term inheritance and innovation, and has become one of the core guiding concepts of socialist construction, always adhering to the people’s interests as the first priority, emphasizing the people’s position as the main body of history, and being the theoretical foundation of the Party’s mass line and work. This paper explains the formation and connotation of Marx’s mass view of history, explains the process of its Chineseization, and discusses its practical significance in the contemporary society by sorting out the formation and connotation of Marx’s mass view of history.
