Yu Yan

Abstract

With the continuous advancement of globalization, percussion teaching is gradually demonstrating a trend of multicultural integration. Under the traditional teaching model, university percussion courses are no longer able to meet the current students' needs for diverse artistic expression. This paper, from a multicultural perspective, explores the expansion and integration of university percussion teaching content. It proposes integrating percussion instruments, playing techniques, and cultural connotations from different cultural backgrounds into the curriculum, with the aim of cultivating students' global vision and cross-cultural communication skills. By analyzing the current status, challenges, and opportunities of percussion teaching in a multicultural context, the paper puts forward innovative teaching plans and discusses how to promote students' comprehensive development through the integration of different cultural elements.
