Teaching Practice Based on OBE Foundation

Lixia Ma

Abstract

Outcome-Based Education (OBE) is a teaching approach that focuses on results and has been widely applied in many courses. This paper starts with OBE and uses the PDCA model to assign the practical application and real significance of each knowledge point in the course “Principles of Statistics” to students in advance, and then guides students to understand the theoretical background and content, thereby reducing students' fear of mathematical calculations and increasing their interest in the course. From the fi nal grades of 40 students, it objectively reflects the promoting effect of the OBE teaching method on the improvement of students' academic performance.
