Research on the Integration Path Between International Education Accreditation Systems and Domestic Educational Quality Evaluation Standards

Abstract

Against the backdrop of global convergence in educational quality assurance, international education accreditation systems have become vital tools for universities to enhance teaching quality and global reputation. This paper systematically reviews the core principles and implementation models of major international accreditation frameworks such as ABET and AACSB, and compares them with China’s current quality evaluation system in terms of standard structure, assessment mechanisms, and educational philosophy. In light of the domestic policy trend of “evaluation-driven development,” the study proposes a four-dimensional integration path consisting of standard alignment, mechanism fusion, curriculum coordination, and faculty development. The findings suggest that aligning domestic evaluation standards with international accreditation systems is not only a critical step toward educational internationalization but also a practical pathway to modernizing China’s higher education quality assurance system with local characteristics.
