Cultivating University Students’ Intercultural Competence Through Cultural Conffdence: A Strategic Model in Chinese EFL Education

Abstract


In the era of globalization, developing university students’ intercultural competence is essential. This paper explores the relationship between cultural confidence and intercultural competence, proposing a model for integrating cultural confidence into EFL education. Through theoretical frameworks and literature analysis, it demonstrates how cultural confidence supports learners’ cultural identity and intercultural learning. The model offers pedagogical insights for EFL curriculum design and higher education strategies aimed at cultivating intercultural competence in global contexts.
