Bo Yuan

Abstract

As an important part of physical education, the innovation of teaching methods in college basketball optional courses is related to teaching quality and the cultivation of students’ physical literacy. The “learning through competition” teaching method breaks through the limitations of traditional teaching and integrates competition into classroom teaching. By strengthening students’ sports interest and rules awareness, carefully designing competition methods, reforming teaching methods, optimizing teaching design, and implementing multiple evaluations, it stimulates students’ learning enthusiasm, practices the concept of health, changes the teaching model, injects new vitality into college basketball teaching, and helps improve students’ basketball skills and comprehensive physical quality.
