Narrative Reconstruction of Rural Intangible Cultural Heritage: Cultural Transmission and Identity Formation in the Context of Cultural Tourism Integration

Yaoyi Cai, Ruizhao Lin, Qian Liu

Abstract

In the context of culture-tourism integration, rural intangible cultural heritage (ICH) is shifting from static display to immersive, narrative-driven, and digital modes of communication. As a key part of local culture, ICH gains new vitality through storytelling in tourism, enhancing its reach and offering visitors deeper cultural experiences. These narratives also activate collective memory and strengthen local identity. This paper explores how ICH achieves effective communication and identity resonance in tourism, offering insights for its innovative and sustainable development.
