A Study on Strategies for Integrating Aesthetic Education into Primary School Music Teaching

Abstract


With the deepening advancement of China's basic education reform, the educational philosophy centred on core competencies has imposed new contemporary demands on aesthetic education within schools, emphasising its comprehensive integration across all subjects and throughout the entire educational process. The discipline of music, with its emotional, experiential and aesthetic characteristics, has become a vital vehicle for implementing aesthetic education. The classroom, as the primary arena for music instruction, bears the crucial responsibility of realising aesthetic education's functions.Employing case analysis as the primary methodology, this study examines representative primary school music teaching cases. Using the aesthetic evaluation dimensions of "harmony of the spirit, harmony of speech and action, harmony of demeanour, and harmony of interpersonal relations," it systematically explores practical pathways and implementation strategies for integrating aesthetic education within music classrooms. The research aims to construct a music classroom culture characterised by "harmonious beauty," providing practical references and theoretical insights for the deep integration of aesthetic education in primary schools within the core competencies framework.
