Research and Application on Decoding the Genes of Shanghai-style Culture and Digital Reconstruction of Industrial Heritage Space

Abstract

Shanghai’s industrial heritage carries the core genes of Shanghai-style culture, but it is confronted with the predicament of the disconnection between physical protection and cultural inheritance, and the difficulty of traditional means in fully preserving diverse information. This article takes the decoding of Shanghai-style cultural genes and the digital reconstruction of industrial heritage space as the research object, deeply analyzes the necessity of the combination of the two, and on this basis, proposes four application paths: digital archiving, immersive experience, intelligent management, and cross-border cultural and creative industries, aiming to achieve the transformation of industrial heritage from static protection to dynamic activation and promote the living inheritance of Shanghai-style culture.
