The General Education Curriculum System and Implementation Path of “Health Education for College Students”

Abstract


To implement the requirements of the “Healthy China 2030” Strategy and college health education policies, and address key issues such as prominent health problems among college students, fragmented content, and monotonous forms of the “College Students’ Health Education” general education curriculum. This study based on the “physical-psychological-social” three-dimensional health perspective, constructs the course system and implementation path. The curriculum with three-dimensional objectives of knowledge, ability, and quality development, including four core content modules and a plan of 2 credits (32 class hours). The implementation path features innovative teaching methods and a diversified evaluation system. This study provides support for colleges to make up for curriculum shortcomings and improve students’ health literacy, and can be further optimized with intelligent technologies in the future.
