An Intervention Study on the Effect of Mindfulness Training in Alleviating Academic Burnout Among College Students
Abstract
With the increasing prominence of academic burnout among college students, seeking effective intervention methods has become urgent. This paper systematically explores the psychological mechanisms and intervention strategies of mindfulness training in alleviating college students’ academic burnout. It analyzes the psychological mechanisms from three aspects: enhancement of emotion regulation ability, improvement of attention and cognitive function, and increase of self-efficacy, clarifying the intrinsic logic of mindfulness training on academic burnout. At the same time, it constructs a four-dimensional intervention strategy of ‘classroom integration — goal binding — peer support — digital adaptation.’ By embedding mindfulness practice into academic breaks, linking it to academic goals, forming peer support groups, and utilizing digital tools to create adaptive scenarios, it provides tangible and operable practical pathways.
