The Practical Dilemma and Optimization Path of Primary School Choir Construction under the Guidance of Core Competence——Exploration of Choir Conducting Work Based on Primary School Music Teachers

Abstract


Primary school choir education serves as a vital vehicle for aesthetic education, not only enhancing students musical literacy but also cultivating core competencies such as teamwork and aesthetic perception. However, current choir development in primary schools faces practical challenges including students weak foundational skills, uneven musical proficiency levels, difficulties in establishing training gradients, and challenges in recruiting new members. Drawing from the authors practical experience as a primary school music teacher, this paper systematically analyzes the root causes of these challenges through daily training, competition participation, and team-building practices. It proposes optimization pathways including a “tiered training + interest cultivation” dual-track model, a “home-school-community collaboration” recruitment mechanism, and a “stepwise growth” evaluation system, providing practical references for the high-quality development of primary school choir education.
